Beds on Board is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects boat owners and accommodation seekers to offer alternative accommodation in great locations around the world.


Anyone can search for boats to stay on but to contact an owner, make a booking, or to list your boat you must sign-up to become a verified member. All you need is an email address and your own password, which you can change at any time.

 

Staying on a boat as a Guest

It is easy to find alternative accommodation in great locations:

1. Search for a boat - add a location, dates and guest and hit search
2. Contact the Owner - ask questions, answers questions, make friends
3. Book the boat - we will pre-authorise the payment and the Owner has 48 hours to accept or decline the booking

 

You choose a boat that works for you and once you become a member you can short-list your favourite boats, contact Owners securely and anonymously and make a booking to stay on a boat.

 

You submit your payment details and booking enquiry using our safe and secure system.

 

Once you have sent the booking enquiry the Owner has 48 hours to approve your booking. If they approve you will be charged 100% of the booking fee, including our Service Fee. Any security deposit will be handled later.

 

We hold onto all fees until 24 hours after check-in, just in case you have any issues.

 

After a stay, you and the Owner write reviews to allow the trust and community to grow.

 

Listing your boat as an Owner

You can list your boat in 3 steps, in as much time as you need:

1. Create a listing - 3 easy questions
2. Complete your listing - a bit more detail to help find the right Guest
3. Manage your listing - refine over time to get more enquiries

 

You describe what is on offer, set your own nightly rates and terms and any additional fees. If you want a security deposit we recommend two nights rental cost, but it is up to you.

 

The listing is like a shop window and should updated and fine-tuned to attract as many of the right kind of guests as wanted.

 

Getting great reviews will be key, telling our members all about the experience of staying on your boat.

 

Once a Guest submits a booking enquiry you have 48 hours to approve the booking, knowing we have pre-authorised the payment. Once you accept the booking the Guest is charged 100% of the booking fee. Any security deposit will be handled later only in the event of a reported issue.

 

We hold onto all fees until 48 hours after check-out, just in case there are any issues.


You receive your payout, minus our 5% Service Fee, direct to your bank account on our scheduled payments.
