Stay on a boat in Southampton, United Kingdom.

"Bob on the Water" is a British built open sports cruiser.

The cavernous self-draining cockpit is designed on two levels. The lower level offers a wet bar, fridge and seating for three which can be converted into a large sunbed

The upper alfresco deck seats at least seven and with the co-pilot seat folded down, there is additional seating around the table. Above the cockpit is the unique solar protection system (SPS) - an integral bimini incorporating an electrically-operated sliding roof and a two-part canopy.

The saloon features U-shaped seating, dining table and concealed stool. A fully-equipped galley with hob, oven/grill, microwave, large fridge with freezer compartment and split sinks is finished in Corian® worktops.

The forward double cabin is complete with en-suite toilet and separate shower, excellent storage/hanging space and vanity unit.

The aft double cabin has a large king size bed, en-suite toilet/shower, dressing table, seating area, double wardrobes and circular hatch to cockpit - a true master cabin.

On the upper deck is the large entertaining area which is ideal for relaxing on those warm summer evenings, or close the electric sun roof, put up the canopies and turn the heating on for those chilly nights. Whatever the weather, you will be able to relax and enjoy the complimentary bottle of Prosecco.

Down below, the forward cabin has an island double bed with separate en-suite toilet and shower. The aft master cabin has a king size bed and combined en-suite toilet/shower.

The saloon is bright and airy with a U shaped seating and table area on the starboard side.

The galley area is on the port side and is fully equiped with a gas oven, 3 burner gas hob, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and slow cooker. All cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and complimentary coffee, tea etc are provided.

There is a warm air heating system onboard which supplies warm air to the saloon and both cabins, the warm air is also supplied to the upper deck.

In the saloon there is a TV and radio with bluetooth connectivity, speakers for the radio are fitted in the saloon and also on the upper deck.

Kinu complimentary toiletries are provided along with all bedding and towels. For stays over seven days bedding and towels will be changed.

A welcome pack can be arranged if required.

Although there are full bathroom facilities on board, there are also private luxury shower and toilet facilities available to our guests just a few steps from the pontoon and we recommend our guests use those as their primary facilities.

Ashore, there are luxury toilets and showers which are only a short walk from the boat. There are also coin operated washing machines and tumble driers.

    The Area

Outside the marina and only two to three minutes walk are the Red Funnel ferry terminals with regular car ferries and high speed service to the Isle of Wight, ideal for Cowes Week.

The West Quay shopping centre and the new Watermark Westquay with its many restaurants, bowling alley and 10 screen cinema is a ten minute walk or there is a bus service from the ferry terminal if required.

In September the Southampton International Boat Show is only a five minute walk from the marina.

There are are three coffee shops within two minutes walk from the marina and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

    What's special about this boat

I live less than ten miles from the marina and am available 24/7 for any problems.

    B & B with a twist

    May 11, 2017

I booked a night aboard Bob on the Water as an unusual gift for my son and his wife. It excelled all expectation from first contact to handing back the key. John and his wife went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The boat was stunning, beautifully clean and well equipped. If you are looking for a unique place to stay look no further than a stay on this beautiful boat 5* accommodation at a reasonable rate. Thank you John for giving my son and his wife a memo

    Bob on the water

    July 23, 2017

The boat was a lovely size, in excellent condition and the owners were very welcoming and helpful in showing us all the facilities. We would happily stay there again as the location was also perfect for exploring the harbour area and town from. It was great for enjoying the summer evening on board and we cooked to enjoy the al fresco experience. Well worth the money...

    Amazing Night

    Aug. 6, 2017

We stayed for one night and had a fantastic time. Boat is amazing and owners were very accommodating and flexible to ensure we had a perfect couple of days. We will certainly stay again soon and recommend to friends. Amazing thanks John and Linda.

Can't get much better than Bob on the Water

    June 18, 2017

The whole experience was fabulous. From the initial contact with John and Linda through to reluctant end of our stay, it has been fabulous. The communication with John and Linda has been great, they met us in the car park, showed us their boat and all the controls, then left us to it. The boat was absolutely lovely and well cared for with the Marina peaceful, which made it a joy to stay in. The complementary Prosecco, tea, coffee, milk and toiletries were a nice touch, that were very much appreciated. The arrangement for a dolphin to swim into marina was an extra special touch. :0) The surrounding area is lovely with the red jet a few meters away, allowing us to spend a day on the Isle of Wight. The bars and restaurants on Oxford Street are a must if you like a good meal/ drink with great atmosphere. Overall a amazing experience, which we do not want to end. Highly recommend.

    Amazing weekend

    May 21, 2017

We wanted something different to celebrate two birthdays, and we struck gold with booking this amazing boat. Sitting on the top deck watching the sun go down in peaceful surroundings, with all the goings on of a busy port close by. Clean, tidy smart and spacious, we were hosted superbly by John and Linda. Great quick correspondence from first enquiry all the way through to handing the keys back after our stay. Very helpful and made us feel very welcome on their boat. We would love to stay again, and think we may well do! Thanks again John and Linda.

    Such a wonderful experience

    Aug. 18, 2017

The whole experience from booking, arranging handover and the few days on the boat, exceeded expectations in every way! "Bob on the Water" is an exceptionally well presented and obviously much loved boat. John met us to handover the keys and explain how things worked. Beautifully simple and well thought through. The accommodation is even better than in the photos and everything you could possibly need is provided. We even arranged for our groceries (wine) to be delivered to the quayside by Waitrose!!! We cannot fault the whole experience and would positively encourage others to stay on this boat. We'll be returning again!

    Great Stay

    June 3, 2017

Had a great stay on board Linda and Johns boat. John was very helpful on takeover and through-out our stay if we needed anything. Parking was right next to the entrance to the mooring. There are nice shower facilities on the quay side if you don’t want to shower onboard. We went to the Mayflower theatre, approx. £6.00 each way in a taxi. If you are looking for an evening meal the new cinema area is excellent and is approximately 10 minute’s walk. For breakfast, we made use of the Star Bucks which was also on the quay side. (2 minutes) Boat was surprisingly spacious and has a great seating area on deck where we spent most of our stay. Thanks very much. Gemma and James.

The fantastic 'Bob' (on the water)

    July 31, 2017

What can I say... amazing... 5 star way to spend 4 days. John the owner is the easiest to communicate with and on point, the boat and mooring space is perfect, it was one of the best ways to celebrate a birthday, or tbh any occasion or just to get away and feel proper special. This boat is a must if you can afford a family room in an excellent 5* B&B you can afford this and boy 'Bob' (As my children have named her) will not let you down, you don't want to spend all day in the B&B but you would quite happily spend most of the day in this top class marina on the beautiful boat. Everything you could need to eat and drink is within walking distance. The variety of some of the worlds most famous ocean liners go past and dock in the distance. The boat neighbours are charming, you are let into a different community and it's a very welcoming and pleasant one. The facilities aboard are perfect, the beds, the most comfy (Being rocked to sleep is fab) it really is the best experience to have... give it a go, you really won't regret it :) Thanks John. The Matthews-Gravez's.

An amazing vessel and very well equipped. Lovely views over the water to watch cruise ships arrive and depart. Very clean and everything you needed was on board. John was very very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely book again... next time for longer!

    Jan. 11, 2018

We stayed on 'Bob on the Water' as a present for my Cousins 50th birthday. John could not have been more helpful when trying to arrange this trip. The Cruiser was amazing! Everything we needed was on board, and more, we hardly went onto dry land! We have never done anything like this before but would definitely recommend a stay on this beautiful boat.
