    Jamaican Poppy

    April 7, 2017

Steve was there to meet us on arrival and showed us over his boat, Jamaican Poppy, in an amiable, relaxed manner. All was very simple and after a short chat, Steve left us to ourselves. Jamaican Poppy is a lovely boat, very comfortable and spacious for the two of us. This was a birthday surprise for my wife and she was 'over the moon' with the boat. (About a million brownie points earned - thanks Steve). After settling in, we had a walk around Christchurch before returning for a drink on the fly-cockpit and taking in the interesting and very peaceful surroundings. In the evening we went to the very local Italian restaurant,La Mamma. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere, food and service was amazing. After a comfortable, good nights sleep on board, we were reluctant to leave but had onward plans. We enjoyed Jamaican Poppy immensely and are confident that we will contact Steve/Beds on board for a future visit.

    Great Location, lovely boat.

Spent a wonderful night in Christchurch, topped off by staying on Jamaican Poppy. Steve, the owner, was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. We will most definitely be back.

It was perfect from finish till end, stayed 2 nights. Everything you need on Jamaican poppy. Very comfortable stay for a family of 4. We love a adventure and this was amazing. Local church is lovely to visit also fabulous restaurants (loch and quay was 5*). Plenty of beaches short drive or walks from boat. Steve makes the experience more amazing as he made it feel like we were at home. Can't wait to come back.

    Amazing mini break

    Sept. 1, 2018

Would highly recommend this trip to any couple wanting to get away for a few days, staying on a boat was so much more interesting than staying in a hotel and was a great way to relax for a few days. We met Steve the owner of the boat who was so friendly and was able to recommend local beaches and resteraunts. Overall a perfect mini break in a lovely town.
