Stay on a boat in Frampton on Severn, United Kingdom
Views through a porthole window!
If your looking for an experience, relaxation and seeing nature through a port hole window then you would enjoy my cosy home.
A contemporary HOUSEBOAT conversion. The vessel was originally used in the late 1960's as a landing craft by the Navy. Its unusual designed triangular shaped front would drive right through the sandy beaches.
The boat has a cast iron log burner, wood is provided. The 10ft wide x 6ft high lounge is an open plan living space with a beautiful vintage stained glass window feature that divides the double bedroom from the main living space.
There is a gas stove and Belfast sink.
You an easily boil the kettle for hot water and all cutlery, crockery and saucepans are provided.
The entrance of showboat is via a low door and down four steps.
The energy is solar powered, which provide ample electricity to charge phones
Do bear in mind there are no plug sockets on board, only a USB charging point and 12V cigarette charger station.
The boat is moored at Saul Junction, where there are some amenities. A shower and toilet cubicle only a hop skip and a jump away.
The quaint Cotswolds village of Frampton on Severn is a 10 minute walk along the canal path, where you will find lots of amenities including The Bell Inn which serves up good pub grub
15min drive to Slimbridge Wild Life Centre Bird park.
20min drive to Stroud an old market town. (The farmers market is a must see on the Saturday.)
40min drive to centre of Bristol City.

Cute & cosy House Boat
Enjoyed a lovely nights stay on Slow boat! Love the twinkly lights and vintage trinkets! But most of all the log burning stove that kept us warm. It's all dinky but well presented. Position of mooring was great, safely moored up with shower block also available and great cafe on site. We drove to pub nearby for dinner. Would recommend but if you aren't experienced with house boats go with an open mind and have some fun!.. many thanks for meeting us to exchange key, and for the little bottle of prosecco!.. ❤️👍
A wonderful relaxing stay
Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay on your boat. We had a brilliant time and can whole heartily recommend staying onboard the ‘slowboat’. Everyone around was so friendly and we will come back.
Cosy, Beautiful and Different!
Rosie was fantastic in accommodating our very last minute booking! A surprise for my hubby he was encharted. Slowboat is so very different, quirky, cosy and just perfect for a romantic escape. The little pot belly burner was the icing on the cake! Beautiful surroundings, friendly people and fab cooked breakfast in near by cafe. Only wished pubs had been a little closer, still in walking distance if your fitter than us! We both absolutely loved our stay and would book again in a heartbeat. Thanks again Rosie, big thumbs up from us X
Lovely stay on Slowboat
We had a lovely 2 day break on Slowboat. It was comfortable and cozy in a nice location. Frampton on Severn is within walking distance and has a good pub. It was a very relaxing place to stay.
I had a lovely overnight stay on board Slowboat. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The location is stunning and very peaceful. There is a field for dog walking right next to the towpath and lots of lovely walks nearby. My only disappointment was that the sofa is inflatable and not at all comfortable. Otherwise it was great and Rosie is a very lovely, friendly host.
