    The Area

Our Dutch barge is the only holiday home floating on the tidal river in Sandwich.
Sandwich is first mentioned as a Saxon strong hold in AD664.
Our town contains the highest number of listed buildings per head of population in the whole of the U.K.
Bursting with tourist attractions, all year round festivals, concerts and events with plenty of town trails, walks, cycle rides with a plethora of friendly eateries specialising in local produce.

    What's special about this boat

Our tidal river is only 45 mins to Pegwell Bay where there is a seal colony. The seals make their way up the river and come to visit us nearly every day!
You can go cockle hunting and shrimping on Sandwich Bay which is only a 30 min walk from the barge.

Lovely stay, the barge was clean and beautiful, we had never stayed on a barge before it was very well organised and the kids loved it. The ramp was interesting with two little dogs but even provided lovely bed and towels for the dogs. Will def stay again
