Fantastic experience, just wished it was longer! Both Mark and Alison were extremely helpful from the start to finish.
An ideal place to stay for an overnight business trip.
Great value, very welcoming and perfectly positioned. Parking included was a bonus as was the brand new toilet / shower block. This lovely yacht was clean tidy and comfortable and nothing was to much trouble for our hosts who were very accommodating.
Amazing experience from start to finish
We go on a cruise from Southampton every year, and normally stay in budget hotels (not mentions the T word) the night before. This year we decided to do something a little different and booked onto Nautical Dreams instead. The price was less than budget hotels nearby were charging (there were 5 of us going) and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. We found an interesting yacht, and contacted the owner to ask a question and had a response back almost immediately. After a couple of further queries had been answered with the same promptness, we placed the booking. We had a follow up couple of exchanges to arrange for the inital meet up on the day, where we met the owners who explained everything we needed to know and were great, really friendly and helpful. So we spent the afternoon and evening on deck basking in the sunshine and enjoying the relatively calm atmosphere while my wife got a jumpstart on getting her sea legs a day earlier than she usually does. The yacht was well kept, comfortable and felt very much like part of the holiday rather than a place to sleep. The marina is well appointed and the main town centre and shops are a short walk away. We will definitely repeat, the whole thing was such a better experience than the usual hotels and we will be looking through beds on board before booking anyway in future.
Great stay aboard Nautical Dreams last night. The boat was beautiful and Mark and Alison were fantastic in the lead up, their quick responses and advice allowed me to keep the whole thing a surprise for my wife (which was a resounding success!). A different and thoroughly enjoyable stay, we highly recommend and would love to return when next in town. Many thanks both.
Excellent Host and boat
Greeted by the host after a very easy booking process and shown round the great facilities both on board and the excellent marina. The boat was clean and presented extremely well with lots of restaurants locally it made a great weekend stay. Cannot fault the boat, host or marina everything was spot on and we will hope to return soon. Thanks again!
Would stay again
Lovely boat, nice people, perfect choice. Will look for an opportunity to stay again.
Wonderful! Just wonderful! Faultless! Owners kind and accommodating, made us feel at ease and provided us with fresh coffee for the morning which was a wonderful extra. Beds were sublimely comfortable- I'll be dreaming about them forevermore. Children want to return already. Beautiful atmosphere and boat has all you need in a nice spot with amazing shower and bathroom facilities close by. I am so so happy that we did this. Our weekend was just perfect.
Great stay, wish it had been longer.
Really well presented vessel with a lovely roomy feel. The owners are very helpful and the onshore facilities are 1st class. Can't recommend highly enough.
Stay aboard Bavaria 42 for Southampton Boat show
Four of us stayed aboard this Bavaria 42 for the Southampton boat show. The marina could not have been any closer for the show, within 5 minutes walking distance. Locally there are any number of restaurants and bars as well as several shops for stocking the boat up. The boat itself was immaculate inside with all three cabins made up as doubles with towels for all guests. Mark kindly showed us around the boat and how to operate the heating, lights etc before leaving us to it. A total gentleman. Faultless stay! Thanks!
Fantastic Weekend in Southampton
It was great to meet Alison, who was kindly waiting when we arrived. We were shown to the boat and facilities which were all really good. The position of the marina was perfect for town and also to watch the departing cruise ships which set sail around 5pm. The boat was very comfortable and well equipped and we would highly recommend a stay here.
Thank you for an lovely stay on your yacht, tea, coffee, and biscuits a nice touch, beds very comfy.and lovely sitting out on deck with a drink, nice way to finish the evening. My daughter loved this way as part of her graduation.Tina and her husband were very nice and helpful booking us in.
Boat Show Visit
We used the yacht as a base to visit the show. The layout of her was ideal for 4 adults with plenty of space to spread inboard & in the cockpit. Excellent location being less than 5 mins walk from the show & also for plenty of restaurants in the evening. The marina facilities seem to have been upgraded recently to a high standard.
Sets the GOLD standard
Fabulous boat, excellent marina, great location and superb host together set the GOLD standard. Our first hire certainly won't be our last.
A great alternative to a hotel...... Better by far, what could be a better way to wake up on a beautiful day than on a yacht and sit outside enjoy breakfast, drinks, fresh air. A beautiful yacht in excellent condition. Well equipped, comfortable, warm, great experience for the kid. Mark and Alison were great and happy to support with anything at all..... even when the better half couldn't get the stove working. A great experience, would strongly recommend it. Choose your yachts carefully....42ft and two bathrooms makes all the difference for six people.
A beautifully presented alternative to a hotel and lots of nice touches - biscuits and best quality coffee! The whole experience was faultless and the owners are to be congratulated on their presentation.
Real quality exoerience
Stayed on the yacht for a night with wife and daughter when visiting the later. The vessel is emasculate, everything it is says to be and more, quality fixtures and linen, and the marina facilities are amazing. The gusts were so helpful, totally recommend it and would return
We loved your boat, the children pretended to be pirates and my daughter slept particularly well. Southampton has a great deal to offer, and we loved having breakfast on the deck. Many thanks
We had a lovely weekend on Nautical Dreams. The yacht is extremely comfortable and in a great location. The marina was ideally situated with good facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
A very nice overnight stay
We were in Southampton for the boat show and thought what a good idea to stay on a yacht. Nautical Dreams is spacious, clean and right in town with great views over the ferry approach. Alison met us promptly and was happy to answer any queries we had... there weren't many as a she'd left out maps etc. The new shower block is hotel quality standard. Overall a smashing stay and can recommend the nearby Italian Ennio's too.
A great stay on board Nautical Dreams. Alison the owner was a pleasure to deal with and made us feel very welcome. Great location in Southampton only minutes from City Centre, IOW Ferries and venue for Southampton Boat Show. Highly recommended.
An excellent 2 night stay onboard, the owner Alison couldn’t do enough for you. The Marina facilities where also to high standard and I would highly recommend this boat.
We spent a fantastic eeekend on Mark and Alison’s yacht. It’s a lovely yacht in a great position and the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic stay aboard
A lovely boat in a great location. Perfectly situated for a day trip to Cowes and popping into town. The boat is really well presented and all very clean. Marina facilities spot on too!
Fantastic boat, with everything you need. Beds very comfortable. Facilities in the marina were fabulous, very clean with everything you would need. Sadly, we didn’t luck out on the weather, although did manage a G+T on the deck in a small window of sun. All in all, a very enjoyable stay - will definitely recommend.
Lovely comfortable boat, well prepared
We had a lovely stay on Nautical Dreams. Boat well prepared and comfortable and nice to be met by owner Alison for introduction. Thanks and we will look to stay again.
The boat was perfect for a peaceful evening away for us. 4 adults with plenty of room. Alison and Mark were brilliant with us even after a delayed arrival on our behalf. The boat was larger than expected, it was beautiful and we loved watching the cruise ships and ferry's coming in and out whilst sat on deck. The facilities were very clean and everything was thought of. The biscuits were a lovely touch and we thank you again for a much needed break in a beautiful location. Thank you to you both, we hope to return with the children soon.
A night on the Nautical Dreams
My family stayed for a night on board this fantastic boat. Alison & Mark were so warm and helpful to us it made a great stay even better. I would highly recommend the experience.
last minute booking
Alison and Mark are extremely lovely people who allowed me and my family to use their boat for a last minute idea. The boat has everything you could possibly want and need and the beds were so so comfy. Mark greeted us at the boat it ended up a 15minute football chat, (Mark think about what I said about Mourino) all very chilled and a perfect place to take someone special for a really nice time, with views....hoping to stay again in September Jamie Honor and family
Excellent Night Away
We arrived and the weather was lovely, very calm and relaxed waters! Overnight was lovely, and the morning was very rough seas but the boat was absolutely lovely! The meet and greet was amazing and Alison seems lovely and keeps her boat very clean and basically perfect! The only thing I would add is I was surprised you couldn’t use the toilets on the boat, but this wasn’t too much of an issue as the toilets on land were not a far walk and were lovely and clean! Overall, would definitely recommend!
A wonderful time on Nautical Dreams
Well where do I start, from the moment I booked Alison was brilliant, communication between us was excellent, questions were answered very promptly, arrangements went to plan and Alison was there when we arrived to show us around and settle us in. if you are thinking of booking a break away then I would highly recommend Nautical Dream - even in November when the weather was really quite nippy we were warm and comfy with everything we needed around us. Thank you Alison for everything. - Tracey Harris Nov 2019
