Stay on a boat in Fort William, United Kingdom.

Our boat "Orlik" is an authentic deep sea fishing vessel that was built in Denmark in 1950. Built for fishing in the North Atlantic this vessel had many years of deep sea condition before retiring in 1990 to become a haven for scuba diver in the English Chanel. Orlik moved to Scotland in 2006 and after a serious conversion and refit from Macduff Shipyards in 2011 Orlik became the new image of "Scottish Marine Safari"
Accomodation on board consists of two double cabins each with a queen size double bed and a separate shower/toilet for each cabin.

Orlik has two double cabins below deck. We charge on a per cabin basis. Each cabin has its own shower-toilet.

Each cabin has electric heating and tv.

Fort William is the outdoor capital of the UK. We have great views looking on to Ben Nevis. There is caneo and bike hire 100 meters from where we are moored. The Jacobite steam train is only a 10 minute drive from where we are. The Great Glen Way passes 20 meters from the boat and there is fantastic walking all around this area.

    The Area

The railway station and bus stop are 5 minutes walk where you can go to Fort William (2 miles) or there is the option to travel to Mallaig on the famous "Harry Potter" train route. From our mooring at the top of Neptunes Staircase is a great walking base whether you prefer walking on the level to explore the canal or head for the glens and mountains, or just walk to Fort William which is 3 miles on foot. Here is the start of the Great Glen Way.

    What's special about this boat

The great out doors, whether its climbing Ben Nevis or walking up the path on the south side. Mountain biking, walking, fishing or just enjoying nature and the great our doors, this is the location.
