Stay on a boat in East Molesey, United Kingdom.

EXCLUSIVE USE. A perfectly appointed self-catering 6-berth/2 cabin live-on-board in this idyllic palm fronted marina ½ mile from Hampton Court Palace, excellent restaurants/pubs, direct train link to London Waterloo + 7 miles to Heathrow. 2 cabins, large open-plan living area with sofa bed, full kitchenette, sun terraces, heating, Smart TV, WiFi, HiFi, Netflix, PS3, games & books. Included: stunning gardens, BBQ, 6-seat rowing boat, pedalos & a 4-seat electric boat! Our 7-seat motor boat can be hired for £50/day & charters/cruises can also be arranged.

EXCLUSIVE USE - and a unique self-catering experience on water with all the creature comforts of a home. “Bluebird” is an American houseboat which we recently purchased from the Lake District and moved temporarily to Windsor where we lovingly renovated her before cruising down river to a permanent mooring in Hampton Court. She has 2 cabins, the master opens out onto small sun terrace and the middle cabin has bunk beds.

The living area features an open plan fully equipped kitchen (including a 4-plate hob and oven, 2 fridge/freezers, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities); a dining table, seating/lounge area (including a double sofa bed which easily opens out to sleep a further 2 guests) and a Smart TV with Netflix & PS3. This then opens out onto another gorgeous south-facing sun terrace complete with dining table and chairs plus gas BBQ for al fresco dining with superb river views. A bathroom including a full size shower with ample hot water and toilet facilities are also available on board with all linen/towels provided. All the above offers ample and comfortable in and outdoor space for up to 6 guests.

If the weather permits..... there are magnificent gardens to relax in; a floating boat-shaped island with a tranquil river view and outside dining areas; a 4-seat rowing boat, pedalos and 4-seat electric boat are also included. PLEASE NOTE: the use of all these facilities are free at our guests' own risk. A 7-seat petrol motor boat is also available at a cost of £50/day (includes the first tank of fuel) which is a fun and easy way to explore the river unskippered. Charters/cruises can be arranged upon request.

You may wish to feed our resident ducks, swans and geese – a great fun thing to do (reducing stress and increasing creativity too!) Cooked rice, birdseed, peas, corn, oats and chopped lettuce are far superior to bread, the latter causing nasty surface algae, killing fish and giving waterfowl diseases. Also, look out for the wild parakeets in the area!

Any angler aged 12 or over requires a valid Environment Agency Rod Fishing Licence. There are a choice of Licences and it is an offence to fish without one. Please also note, fishing outside of designated seasons fetch fines of up to £50,000. Please always obtain a permit and know your seasons. For more details, contact the Post Office in person or give them a call.

    Other things to note

Guests are required to provide a scan or photo of their government issued photographic ID (passport or driver's license) to our private e-mail address prior to their arrival, which will be provided once a booking has been confirmed.

On-road parking is normally free at weekends and restrictions usually apply during weekdays, ie. 8:00am to 9:30am AND 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Alternatively, there is a parking facility approx. 200 meters away which is £1.50 per hour between 8:00am to 8:00pm but locked between 11pm to 6am. Having said this however, due to functions at Hampton Court Palace, the parking situation is always subject to change. We have also organised with a local Restaurant/Hotel approx. 350 meters away for our guests to be able to park there for £5 a day, organised directly with them.

As we both work, have children and don't live at the park, we can't always be on hand to meet and greet our guests. Having said this, we are always at the end of the phone/e-mail should our guests get stuck, need to be ‘shown the ropes’ and/or wish to give us additional feedback!

Please be forewarned, being on a boat is a very unique experience and many things are different to being a landlubber and staying in standard accommodation, or a hotel for that matter, in terms of staffing, electricity, toilet flush systems, etc. Upon booking, we will send details of all the things that are not strikingly obvious so our guests are forearmed. We really have tried our best to make this a fun/exciting but comfortable/relaxing experience - without it being intrusive - and very much hope you enjoy your stay!
