Stay on a boat in Hamble-le-Rice, UK
"Mischief of Hamble" is a modern, smart, clean and tidy 9- berth yacht in one of the best berths in Port Hamble, as close as possible to the excellent Banana Wharf restaurant & bar plus the car park and marina showers/facilities without suffering from noise. Kathy enjoys meeting and greeting her guests to ensure they understand how everything works and where everything is. That large cockpit with cockpit table is a great place for an evening gin & tonic!" When moored stern to just a little step same level to get on board for the nervous of boarding!
To keep you snug and warm the boat permanently has a heater and dehumidifier on in the winter. As well as that she has central heating when turned on. Extra blankets/fleeces can be provided. She is fully lit up on the pontoon and also lots of lights and hot water on the boat, although the showers are nearby.
Offering 1 double cabin in the fore peak, one single in the saloon and two double cabins in the stern of the boat if you decide on more than the default price for two.
Located a few minutes from Hamble and on the first pontoon from the car park.

A double cabin in a modern, spacious and light 37ft boat. Large outside seating area (cockpit) with ice box in the table and night lamp to set the atmosphere, kitchen, spacious saloon with ample seating around a dining table and one comfortable seat at the chart table. Also available for charter skippered or bareboat for full half day sail or more.
Fully functional galley and cockpit for entertaining. Wifi, stereo and central heating by way of an webasco heater. Also an additional low night/day heater. Large fridge, oven with gas hob. Toaster.Cafetiere. Sink and work surface. Bathroom has ample space toilet, mirrors and shower. Hot and cold fresh water. Saloon has 240v plug sockets perfect for electric kettle, hairdryers. Crockery, cutlery, cook pans, saucepans, wine glasses. There is a charge socket for multiple mobiles. High and low level lighting run by the shore power. radio and CD player. Also plug in on radio to play MP3/iphone/ipad. Has First Aid equipment.
Free parking, showers and toilet block, 3 mins walk to the village. Excellent on-site bar/restaurant with river views immediately in front. Bus stop 4 mins walk away. Security at all times with well lit car park and the harbour office open 24 hours.
The Mecca for sailing in the UK. In busy little village Hamble where there is the bustle of racing at weekends. The Royal Southern Yacht Club 3 minutes walk away and also the RAF club 2 minutes. A short drive from Hamble is the well known"Jolly Sailor" Pub where the famous "Howards Way" was filmed. Excellent food and river views. The "Blue Star" restaurant is a short walk away along the foreshore and beach which does excellent breakfasts, coffee and cakes If you want to get over to Warsash rather than drive around there is the "Pink" ferry which runs daily. For children there is crabbing off the foreshore.
The yacht is a Beneteau Oceanis 37. Is moored on the first pontoon from the car park directly opposite Banana Wharf for eating and drinking. A full handover will be given at no charge and no charge for checkout. The owner lives close to the village and is on hand. The boat is maintained and cleaned to a high standard and smells fresh and airy. Lots of storage, especially for bottles! Excellent price. The cockpit provides a lovely sitting area with cup holders and teak table with ice box inside. Speakers in the cockpit. There lamp to fix in the teak table for night time to set the atmosphere. Compare it to a 3 cabin yacht in "The Jolly Harbour" Antigua which is listed at £1,400 for a week. Official checkout time is 10.00 but can be later if boat not needed!

The Banana Wharf Marina Hamble & its facilities are lovely like that of a high class hotel. Really really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Kathy & Beds on Board. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed in Shropshire lady on a Saturday night and did some kayak trips up and down the hamble on each day. The booking and check in were easy and hassle free - we just phoned Kathy 15 mins before we arrived at the marina and she met us with a complimentary 24 hour car park pass for the pay and display car park saving us £10 which was much appreciated. The boat is moored quite close to the land so near enough to the loos for showers etc and to the Banana Wharf Restuarant for food and drinks. We opted to walk into the village (very close and had lots of nice pubs and eating places as well as a convenience store) on Saturday night and had a lovely meal in the pretty gardens at the River Rat. Accommodation on board was simple and clean - we had a sheet duvet and pillows provided for the front cabin and bought our own sleeping bag and pillow for the seat bed in the lounge area. There is a cool box/fridge to keep drinks cold - we were told it was best to bring a bag of ice to start things off and it seemed to work fine! We didn’t cook on board but made some tea and coffee (provided) using the electric kettle. It was lovely to sit on deck in the evening for a drink and chat and the marina was atmospheric rather than noisy! All in all a great and very different night away - we were blessed with lovely sunny weather which obviously made the whole weekend absolutely perfect!
