    Overview

Stay on a boat in Conwy, United Kingdom.

This is a comfortable, well equipped boat, moored in Conwy marina. This is a 5 star marina, located in a beautiful and interesting part of north Wales.

As a company owned boat, it is well maintained and kept in excellent, clean, condition.

Prices are £99 per night. These prices include the whole boat, which accommodates up to 4 guests in total. There is also an initial cleaning fee which ensures that everything is 'ship-shape' and ready for your arrival.

    Layout

On deck, there is a very spacious semi-circular seating area that will seat up to 6 people comfortably, plus a chaise longue for one person to read or relax, plus space for another two at the helm.

The table allows for drinks and meals to be eaten in comfort; with several cup holder spaces in which to put your cups if you wish.

This area is mainly covered by the hardtop, with just the canvas entrance and windows at the stern (rear) of the boat. The hardtop has an electrically operated sun roof which will just slide back to allow the sun in when the weather is great; and closes when the weather is not so great!

Down below, there is a comfortable saloon area, with table, and a fully equipped galley opposite.

Up to 4 or 5 people can be comfortably seated here.

The boat benefits from two private berths, each sleeping two people.

    Onboard

    The galley (kitchen) consists of:-

    - a sink, with cover
    - hot and cold water. Constant hot water is available at the click of a switch
    - a special filtered drinking water tap to ensure you get the freshest possible water (fitted November 2016)
    - gas operated, three ring stove (full instructions provided)
    - microwave
    - fridge with a small freezer (plus a second fridge on the deck)

    The heads (toilet) consists of:-

    - a fully electrically operated toilet. This was an expensive fitment, and is much better than the usual marine toilets where you have to manually pump the toilet. Also, it is fed by fresh water, not seawater, to flush it. This avoids the smell you get with seawater flushing. Note that you are advised to use the pub or the marina facilities where possible, to save having the empty the 'black water' tank.

Each cabin is reasonably spacious (although please do not expect the space you get in a luxury hotel!).

The forward cabin has a queen-sized bed, with access to the bed either side. There is separate reading lights either side of the bed. Long shelves on both sides of the bed allow you to put various small items (watches, jewellery etc) there in the evening. It has its own television set, with remote.

There are double doors to this cabin. They can be left open at night if there are just the two of you; or closed for privacy, as required.

The second cabin is slightly less spacious, but still very comfortable, with a similar sized bed. It also has a door for privacy, as required. Access to the bed is from one side only.

There is full blown hot air heating throughout the boat. This keeps the boat warm on even very cold nights. If the weather is very hot, then this can simply be turned to 'fan only'.

    Onsite

The pub, the 'Mulberry', has superb seating, both inside and outside. Outside there are beautiful views over the marina and the surrounding countryside. The food is as good as you would expect from a gourmet pub. They serve both snacks and full meals; with restaurants both on the ground and the first floor.

The marina shop has all the main provisions, newspapers, and nautical knick-knacks you would need. It has long opening hours. Also, the nearby town of Conwy has many shops, including a large supermarket on the outskirts.

    The Area

The town of Conwy is a very short drive, and maybe a 15 minute walk away. It is certainly worth a visit or two, with a variety of cafes, shops, pubs. You can stroll along the quayside, or view the magnificent castle. The castle is a recommended visit, with walls that almost encircle the town. Our personal recommendations for restaurants in Conwy includes Watson's Bistro and Amelies.

Only slightly further afield, you can visit Llandudno, which is a traditional seaside town which has a mix of more traditional shops plus the usual high street stores.

Further afield, you have a very large number of attractions in the north Wales area, from a mountain zoo to the UKs only specialist surfing centre (where they make their own waves). We are happy to provide information on local attractions.

    Overall Rating:

Excellent experience, lovely and attentive hosts

    Oct. 15, 2017

Stayed just one night for a very sunny October weekend. Martin and Sue met us at the Mulberry and answered all my fiancé’s questions about being a boat owner! Then showed us around the marina facilities. We’d only booked online the night before and the owners live over an hour away so it was brilliant that they travelled especially at short notice to greet us. The boat is extremely well maintained and of a very high standard interior with fantastic facilities- tv, microwave, hob cooker, fridge freezer and mini fridge. 2 ample sized sitting spaces both lower and upper deck. Well stocked essentials like milk, tea, coffee, cereals, fruit and magazines. We enjoyed sitting out in the sun and chatting to the friendly members. Fabulous last minute get away - would highly recommend to all. Thank you Martin and Sue
