If you like classic yachts this ones for you. Snug, cozy and beautiful inside. Good hosts. We had a great time. Great marina facilities and well placed to enjoy Lymington.
I booked this stay as a surprise for my husbands birthday. Not having done anything like this before it’s fair to say we were novices! The boat is beautiful, clean and tidy. It’s clearly the pride and joy of the owners. Lordy met us in the Haven bar (lovely!!), and took us to the boat, showing us how things worked. She’s fully kitted out, kettle, toaster, bedding, even a speaker system and led mood lights. It’s fair to say that the boat is compact, and for us the weather could not have been much worse with torrential rain for our entire trip. This meant we couldn’t fully appreciate everything that the boat would have given us if we had fair weather. There is a lovely seating area on deck which we would have loved to have used. I would thoroughly recommend this boat - but need to watch your head inside 😀. The Haven yacht club has fabulous facilities, hairdryers, straitners, stunning showers, and laundry facilities. Everyone we met was so very friendly and we would certainly try this type of break again, with hopefully better weather next time!
February Weekend Away
We arrived at the Yacht Haven in the middle of pretty stormy weather and were slightly concerned if doing this kind of trip was a bad idea for February. However the rain quickly stopped and a lovely sunset welcomed us and Steve took his time explaining all about the boat to us, which was very warm and dry. The boat is lovely and so well looked after. It's very cosy inside, with kettle, cooler, sink etc to make the stay more comfortable. The whole experience was quite a novelty, the Yacht Haven also had great facilities with really nice showers, changing rooms, laundry and restaurant / bar. We definitely would love to come back in the Summer and sit on the deck listening to music on the sound system!
Lovely yacht: facilities disappointing
Lovely yacht but cramped for space and headroom (OK if you 5'5" or shorter!): this should be made clear. We had a lovely evening and night -- thanks, Scott, for booking us a table for dinner. With the board down in the forward V berth, it was tricky to manoeuvre into: in retrospect, I would remove the board, treat it as twin beds and allow legroom to get in and out and shut the vanity area door more easily.
Great Host & Beautiful Boat
Lordy was a great host, very easy to communicate with and accommodating with our check in time. The boat itself in immaculate condition and was a fantastic place to spend the night after a day on the Solent, we would be happy to return!
