Stay on a boat in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland

'Kairos' is a beautiful 36'ft Trintella Ketch. This go anywhere, or liveaboard beauty, is available for your stay in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

Layout

'Kairos' has an aft cabin which sleeps two on a double berth. The aft cabin is separated from the main saloon by a deep centre cockpit ensuring privacy from the rest of the boat.

The forepeak has a v-berth which also sleeps two. In addition the main saloon has a side berth and a quarterberth. However we find that six people can feel a little crowded, so for perfect comfort we suggest that four is the maximum number for comfort.

Onboard

The boat is very comfortable. The upholstery is all new (2017). Pressurised water, fridge, FM radio, etc.etc.

Onsite

The marina is a top class facility with all the amenities you could possible want. The boat is located close to the shower/toilet barge...

The Area

Dún Laoghaire is a town on the east coast of Ireland, about seven miles (11km) south of the capital Dublin. Its focal point is a splendid harbour and the town is surrounded by spectacular rolling hills. There's lots to do and a wide range of top quality services and amenities on the doorstep. Its easy access to Dublin city and transport links nationwide makes it an ideal place to begin or end your journey through the Emerald Isle.

Historically Dún Laoghaire has always been a 'Gateway to Ireland', Dún Laoghaire gets its name from the Irish translation Fort (Dún) of Laoghaire. It was once the seat of King Laoghaire, the ancient High King of Ireland before the Vikings sailed from Scandinavia and established themselves in Dublin.

There are any amount of restaurants, bars, cinemas and wonderful walks to be enjoyed.

The Dart, the electric rail system, runs approximately every 15 mins. between Dublin city centre and Dun Laoghaire. The Dart station is very close to the marina.

There are also numerous buses that stop close to the marina.

Taxis are plentiful.
