    Overview

Stay on a boat in Lisboa, Portugal.

This boat is lying in a Tagus river marina, located on one of the most ancient and beautiful zones of Lisbon: Belém! You will be sleeping on a diferent environment, lulled by the river smooth curling and in the middle of Lisbon, near very interesting POIs and funny spots!

From here, you can easily reach every single corner of Lisbon!

You will love to be here because you will see the very best and healthy Lisbon. The marina is surrounded by very interesting POIs and funny spots! Also, from here you can easily reach any other zone of Lisbon by walking, by bike (you can bring your bikes to the mooring finger), public transportation or by car (there is a free parking for your car). Walking along the Tagus river side is a must-do!

The boat is moored on a calm and secure marina. Only authorized people can access the space and it's guarded by safety staff 24 hours a day.

You have full access to the boat and to the marina facilities which includes the balneary facilities.

I can have some time spent with my guests, drink a glass of wine, exchange some experiences, if you want, or just give you some tips and advices about Lisbon and marina surroundings. Just ask for anything you need or want to! I'm an easy going person. Don't be afraid!

Belém is one of the ancient zones of Lisbon. The Tagus river border is full of monuments you must see and you can do it just by foot which is amazing! In fact, by walking is the preferrable way to visit this Lisbon zone so, even if you are sleeping on an hotel in other zone of Lisbon, just book one night on this sailboat and you, not only have the time needed to see the surroundings by foot but also to live a new and exciting experience which is to sleep aboard of a sailboat! It's amazing!

On the other side of the street you will find one of the most beautiful monastery of Portugal, the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos with a nice garden in front and a wonderfull church, Also the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia (National Archeology Museum), the Museu de Arte Popular (Popular Art Museum), the Museu da Marinha (Navy Museum), the Museu Nacional dos Coches and CCB - Centro Cultural de Belém (Belém Cultural Center, a huge cultural building hosting several exhibitions and and cultural shows).

On the marina door, you will find the Padrão dos Descobrimentos , a great celebration of the Portuguese world discoveries. Inside it, you will find a museum with lot's of documents and old people testimonials on video describing how was to live in Lisbon on the old times. Also, you can use the lift to go to the top of the monument where you can enjoy a wonderful view over Lisbon downtown, the Tagus river and the other margin of the city.

Along the river margin you can find several other monuments and interesting museums like:
. Torre de Belém (Belém Tower - an ancient military building, other time belonging to a triangular defence of the Tagus river entrance and nowadays a museum)
. Monumento aos Combatentes do Ultramar (a monument to remember the military dead in combat during the Ultramar war)
. Museu dos Combatentes (Military Museum)
. Fundação Champalimaud (Champalimaud Foundation, a cientific laboratory for cancer research)
. Museu da Eletricidade (Electricity Museum, located on an old and already deactivated thermal power station)
. the futuristic MAAT (Museu de Arte, Arquitetura e Tecnologia - Art, Arquitecture and Technology Museum)

Surrounding the marina we have restaurants and coffee shops, not only to satisfy your needs but to taste great fresh fish and seafood!

Everything I list here can be visited by walking or on a bike. You don't need car or public transportation.

You can use the bus or the train. There are stations just near the Marina.

The boat is moored and can't be mooved unless with me on-board!
Any way, if guests wants too and for an additional fee, we can schedule a sailboat trip to meet Lisbon from the Tagus river side (day or night) or to see the sunset from the midle of the sea. Those are amazing experiences and it makes you never forget Lisbon! I promise ;)

    Overall Rating:

    Superb Fascilities, Fantastic Location!

    April 26, 2017

We had a great stay on the Santorin, she was spotlessly clean, and very well equipped, including a large bean bag on deck if you feel like sunbathing. Leonardo was amazing, he picked us up from the airport, welcomed us with cheese and wine and even offered to drive us back to the airport. The location is fantastic, you are right in the middle of the Cultural Centre. The monument of Discovery is next to the marina and the Monastery is just across the road. Many other attractions are within easy walking distance, but if you don't fancy walking you can hire a bike or a Segway from the quay side. We cannot reccomend this site highly enough.
