    Stay on a boat in Stafford, UK.

    Stay on a cosy narrow boat at our great location based at the heart or the Stunning Shropshire union canal on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border. you do get the boat to yourselves and do not have to share it, the price includes breakfast in out cosy tea room adjacent to the wharf where the boats are moored.

    Please note that the boat is moored at the boat yard for the duration of the stay

    Layout

    There is a choice of boats from two berths up to 10 berths, all have permanent double and or single beds. they all have central heating and some have solid fuel stoves, they all have TV's cd players stereos and 240V power through out

    The Area

    Norbury is an ideal location for walking the canals,or walking the millenium trail, visiting local attractions such as Alton Towers, Iorn Bridge, Blists hill museum and the list goes on and on.

    What's special about this boat

    Norbury junction has been here since 1820 and is full of history, but it is also a quiet tranquil place where you can watch the ducks, the swans, and even the fish basking in the summer months, if you are lucky you might see a Kingfisher catching its supper!

    About the marina/waterway Norbury Wharf is at the very heart of the stunning Shropshire union canal, it is at the junction with the now defunct Newport and Shrewsbury canal and the Shropshire Union main line canal, it is a peacful spot over looked by bridges and a country pub,situated on a very high embankment the views are stunning of the Staffordshire rolling country side and Wrekin hills, on a fine day the welsh mountains can be seen in the distance, Norbury Junction is a small canal side settlement of just a hand full of cottages, the boat yard and a pub.
