    Onsite

Helena will be docked alongside the famous Turf Locks Inn, a favourite destination for cyclists and walkers alike and the only remaining pub in the country which is unreachable by car! Serving fantastic local food & beers whilst overlooking the Exe estuary, toward Topsham and Exmouth.

The pub boasts an impressive outdoors area to relax and soak up the ambiance of this very special spot.

Helena is moored in the canal alongside the Double Locks. At the bottom of the pub garden you can take the ferry across the river to the pretty estuary town of Topsham.

    The Area

Exeter is a vibrant University city with a rich and long heritage dating back to the Celtic period. Having been taken over by the Romans in 49 AD, much of the original city wall remains along side it's Gothic Cathedral and Tudor buildings. A visit to the quay, once the city's industrial heart, makes available miles of car free walking and cycling along both the River Exe and the canal which runs parallel. Hire a bike and ride along Route 2 of the National Cycle Network to the beautiful small town of Topsham or beyond to Exmouth seafront and beach. Canoe hire is also available from the quay from where you can paddle down the canal to both the Double Locks and Turf Locks pubs.

If you're more of a gastronomic adventurer then there is an abundance of places to choose from, from small South-West based chains to unique independents the plethora of high quality restaurants, coffee shops, pubs bars and cocktail specialists could keep you busy for months.

    What's special about this boat

Helena is a unique modern classic yacht, probably the first boat to be built to this standard for a hundred years. Made in the style of the classic yachts of the early 20th century (think William Fife and Alfred Mylne), Helena provides a level of comfort which is not often found onboard.
