Stay on a boat in San Sebastián de La Gomera, Spain
Brego is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40' sailing yacht berthed in Marina La Gomera, which is in the town of San Sebastian, La Gomera in the Canary Islands.
The yacht has three very comfortable double cabins and can sleep up to six people.
There is a spacious saloon with dining table, fully equipped galley with fridge and gas cooker, television - no channels but it plays dvds.cds and can be connected by usb to an external hard drive for your own music and films. There is also a shower room with toilet and wash hand basin (no "solid" waste can go down the toilet!). Excellent shore based toilet/shower facilities are also available within the Marina.
On deck there is a large cockpit with another dining table, perfect for eating outside in our beautiful weather and enjoying marina life. There is also a Bimini for providing shade should you want out of the sun, but this can be folded away so you can take advance of our lovely weather and get a tan!
Marina La Gomera is very close (only a couple of minutes walk) to the centre of town with a variety of bars/restaurants and historic buildings. It is also only a two minute walk to each of the three local beaches and the swimming pool and tennis courts.
La Gomera itself is one of the smaller Canary Islands. It has a unique identity and is very well worth exploring. Quieter and less touristy than its bigger sister islands, there is a much more relaxed and slower pace of life. It's very easy to sit with a coffee in a local cafe and watch the world go by!
If walking and hiking are your thing, then there are miles for trails to be explored, picturesque little towns and always surprised with "wow" moments round every corner. Not the least of which is the Garajonay National Park, which has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1986. You can read more about it here http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garajonay_National_Park
Yacht Rules -
To comply with local security laws, we require the names and passport numbers of all guests. Please be aware that we will ask for this information when you book.
While children are welcome, our Marine Insurance stipulates that the yacht is only suitable for those of 6 years of age and older and they MUST be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children aged 6+ count in the guest number and should always be disclosed when inquiring or booking.
People with limited mobility should satisfy themselves, before booking, that the method of entry and exit from the yacht is suitable for their needs. Please do get in touch if you have questions.
No smoking, vaping, candles or incense burners permitted either inside or on the outside spaces on the boat.
There is no delicate way to put this! There is a shower room on board containing a wash hand basin, shower and toilet. Showering on board is no problem. However, urinating in the toilet is fine but no "solid" bathroom waste must be discharged into the water in the marina. There are excellent shore based shower/toilet facilities located within easy reach in the Marina, to which guests will have free access.
Towels provided must not be used at the beach.
No parties, outside visitors or overnight guests without prior approval.
As with most boats, please remove your shoes when down below.
If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
Garbage should be removed regularly to prevent smell and so as not to attract pests.

What's special about this boat
Sitting in the cockpit with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. Very comfortable and spacious. The location on the beautiful Island of La Gomera. Being gently rocked to sleep to the sound of the water gently lapping against the boat! :-)
